VicHealth Community Activation Program Workshops

What is the Community Activation Program?

For VicHealth, Community Activation means physically and visually transforming a public space or place within your community, then ‘activating’ it in a variety of ways that inspires and involves local people who are less active to get more physically active.

We strongly encourage your council to attend one of the three Community Activation workshops to be best equipped to apply for the program. Ideally, form a team from across your council to come along such as planners, arts and culture etc. The workshops will:

• provide further critical information and detail on the Community Activation Program
• step you through the Community Activation Program application process
• provide insights and tools to help you apply Community Activation approaches
• assist to progress and refine your ideas, to inform your application for the program
• answer any questions you may have in respect to the program

Program workshop dates

• Thursday 9th April - (1-4pm) – VicHealth (ground floor – Seminar rooms)
• Friday 10th April - (10-1pm) - VicHealth (ground floor - Seminar rooms)
• Monday 13th April (1-4pm) - Breastscreen Victoria (level 1 - Training room)

You only need to attend one of these workshops. All workshops will be held in the VicHealth building at 15 -31 Pelham St, Carlton.
